Tensions between the US and Iran do not appear to be easing.
But that does not mean Iranians are uninterested in reading about the lives of US presidents and first ladies.
Some bookshops are full of Western titles which are proving surprisingly popular.
Iran is not a member of the universal copyright convention, so the books are being translated into Farsi and published without the author’s consent.
