Venezuelans are voting in legislative polls for the National Assembly – but opposition members have boycotted the elections.
The National Assembly is the only official body which the opposition controls.
Their refusal to contest ensures that President Nicolas Maduro is set to take over the government branch.
Analysts say the likely result is Maduro further strengthening his grip on power.
